A very sweet oil study on board from the 1940s, featuring two scruffy terriers - in good condition for framing or could be left as is.
There is a great sticker on the back of the painting which reads: ‘ A wartime product - The raw material shortage restricts us to the use of thin boards which are less satisfactory than the normal type but which are offered for sale to artists who prefer a thinner canvas board to none at all. Wealdstone, Winsor & Newton - England 1941.’
