A special find, this beautiful leather scotchgrain hard shell vanity case is circa 1940s. With some age (scuffs) to the surface, the case is overall in great condition. With double lock clasps to the front which work well on lock and open, and a strong leather handle on top, the case is in good working condition and could be used to carry items when travelling or used as a display piece. The craftsmanship to this piece is beautiful, with its brown leather and stitching detail, and the brass hardware adding to its authentic and rustic appeal.
The contents of the case no longer exist, but the pink silk frilly lining is without damage, and the brown leather strap inside the case can be used to hold items safely without movement. A sturdy and characterful case which has plenty of life left in its journey.
