Very rare early Victorian Ambrotype of a smart Gentleman, in its original black and gold frame, measures 75mm by 61mm. We find these so intriguing - and a little bit creepy, but in a good way!
The Ambrotype was introduced in the 1850s as deliberately underexposed negatives made by that process and optimized for viewing as positives instead.
