From the late 1800s - this vintage chemist toothpaste pot lid is double sided with two separate advertisements. Very rare!
On the underneath of the lid reads ‘Sulpholine Soap, the purest, safest, best, least expensive toilet soap’. - sold everywhere’. In stunning lettering. And on the top of the lid a separate advertisement for ‘Areca nut toothpaste, by John Pepper’. Would make such a cool trinket pot to keep on a dressing table.
