From a portfolio collection of original watercolour paintings by Barbara Golding, (an amateur Artist who’s paintings are naive but have such distinct charm).
Dating from the 1930s - this wonderful portrait of a Man with Moustache is painted on thick watercolour paper with some wear and discolouration around the edges especially to the top of the page. No damage to the painting and condition can be seen clearly in the photos.
He looks distinguished and wears a black hat with green jacket and ruffles to his collar.
Pink tones to the background make this piece stand out and it would make a fantastic addition to a gallery wall.
We love the messy paint tester splodges at the bottom of the page, this style really adds to the character of this great portrait.
The portrait could be easily framed (and trimmed down to be mounted), and would look wonderful as a centre piece in any home.
