A really beautiful pair of vintage Japanese Kokeshi dolls. Painted by hand, with wonderful detail and in excellent condition with clear and distinct features to the face and patterns which run all the way around the dolls. Typically, these dolls come in pairs - one male and one female. They were and still are given as gifts to children in Japan to mark a special occasion. Very collectable and special pieces and these are a wonderful example.
