From the 1930s/40s - this wonderfully aged wooden articulated clown is full of charm. Also known as a Limberjack, these figures would have have been on the end of a stick and used as a dancing puppet. With metal legs and wooden body with pin joints, sadly his forearms seem to be missing however he is generally in good original condition. His original paint and detail is clear with his eyes quite faint. There is a small hole in his back where the stick once was. A gorgeous display or collectors piece with lots of history. Marked with patent number 7725.
